Copper Cat Escape Games

It all started back in October of 2021. Allon and I took a trip to the Denver area to attempt to play 17 escape rooms in two days. Crazy, I know, but because we were with our good friends, who own Escape Room Alexandria MN, we were able to accomplish the task! This trip had been on our bucket list for a while, but little did we know how monumental this trip would be in our lives. For years and years, we were scared to start a business. Our Friends continued to push us to open an escape room in the Brainerd Area, knowing how much our family loves games, puzzles, and creativity. On the plane ride back from Denver,  Allon and I looked at each other, and we just knew; it was time to open our own escape game business. And, we already had two employees in mind.

In November 2021, I was on a church errand trip to the Bloomington area, accompanied by three fellow worship team members: Abby, Josh, and Aaron. I suggested to the group that we play an escape game while in the area. Little did Josh and Aaron know that I was secretly interviewing them for the game master job in our developing company. I wanted to see if they even liked escape rooms. Turns out, they absolutely loved it. I knew then and there that I had to ask them to be a part of this adventure. 

After we got the keys to our space on Laurel St, we dove in to renovations; modernizing the space and installing our escape room gear. As a team of six, including our two children, we worked together to bring Copper Cat Escape Games to what it is today, and what it continues to become.
